Not every activity works for every age, and it's worth knowing that upfront. Game drives and the Nile boat safari are genuinely great across a wide range of ages, since nobody's on foot near anything with teeth. Chimp tracking has a minimum age, usually somewhere between 12 and 15 depending on the specific site, so check that one directly if it matters to your trip.
In-room WiFi exists as a paid add-on if you've got a teenager who'll otherwise treat the trip like a hostage situation, or if you just need to check in with grandma. And with breakfast and dinner included every day, mealtimes stop being a stressful logistics puzzle and go back to just being meals.
